Remington Gunsmiths Recommendation

I am thinking of adding a custom or customized rifle in .308 Win to my arsenal. I would like it to be based on Rem 700 action, 24 inch SS barrel and weigh below 8 lbs. I prefer high-quality fiber/composite stocks. The gun will be for a lifetime use, including F-class matches and hunting. I have a military past, but tactical stuff is not necessary. Price hopefully at or below 2K. I already have a great scope for it.
Could you recommend gunsmiths you have dealt with? Websites would be very helpful!

mickey coleman does outstanding work. go over to 24 hour campfire and hunt him down - he has a few dozen rifles among the membership there.

Randy does great work, is reasonably priced, and has good turn around time. I highly recommend his work.

Go over to the forums on Snipershide.com, and do a search in the rifle section for HateCa. You will see a lot of his work there. He's in So. CA, but people from all over the country send him work. Good Luck.
