Whats up everyone. Im new on this site. I just bought a Remington Model 10 12 Ga yesterday. I have been trying to do some research on the thing but Cant really find much. First of all. Everything I have read about the serial numbers on these model 10's is there is supposed to be a Letter somewere in the S/N. On My Model 10 there are only Numbers. Whats up with that? anyone know? That number is just on the section with the Stock There isnt any numbers on the barrel.

Some of the marking on the barrel. There is a FULL on the left side. On top there is the remington arms co. patented 1903 so on and so forth. and on the right side there is an R.E.P with a stamp of an ANCHOR below it. What do these stamps mean? Any info would be great. Also there is a Poly Choke on the end of the barrel? Does anyone know which type of Model 10 this might be? or know how to find out? Thanks

That means someone had the Full choke barrel cut off and a Poly-Choke installed.

It is not a factory installation.

Oh, forgot to put that "REP" means "Remington English Proof". It means that they fired the gun with a heavier than normal shell and it didn't explode, so it shouldn't explode with standard shells.
