Remington Model 5 terrible trigger

Does anyone out there have a Remington Model 5 (the new ones) that are made in Europe? I just bought one in .17 HMR, and the trigger is UUUUUGLY. It must break at about 8-9 pounds. I've read that the trigger is military type and adjustable, but the diagram that came with the owners manual is so small it can't be read.

I'm not sure where to find anything, but the barreled action is a Zastava, until recently sold by Charles Daly in a different stock.

Zastava also has a website, with an English version.
