Remington model R-15 VTR, 223 rem

Has anyone shot one of these yet. I am new to the AR world, and have been thinking of getting the VTR. How do they compare to Bushmaster? If not the VTR. what about the Bushy varminteer. All help is apperciated. Thanks in advance.

They're the same rifle. Do you like camo or black? That's the only difference.

It's called re-branding. It's kind of been Remington's marketing strategy the last few years ie Spartan shotguns.

So I guess I have nothing to be afraid of. not sure if I like the camo though. I found one for a fair price used. The only differances I seen are the single stage trigger, and the remmy has a 22" barrel. Thanks again. What are the pros and cons? Is there any?

If I recall correctly, the last time I checked their websites the Remington's MSRP was significantly less, for what it's worth.

Remington R-15

I picked one up yesterday, the rifle with the 22' barrel. I put a pentax red dot on top and only fired 10 rounds to get it sighted in at 100 yards. What I can say is I like the trigger, and it shoots sweet groups. I'll be keeping the red dot on for hunting coyotes, but I may have to throw a scope on there just to see what kind of accuracy this thing can really do. My first overall impression is very favorable.
It's nice it does come with the 5 round mags, as that is all we are allowed to hunt with here in Maine, and I have plenty of high capacity's to use from my other AR's anyway. Besides, the camo is cool.
