I would like to ask about Remington 1 1/2 small pistol primers to be exact. First I must quote the warning on the side of the box; WARNING;Do not use 1 1/2 small pistol primers in high intensity cartridges such as the 357 Mag ,357 SIG, and the 40 S&W. Damage to your firearm and/or serious injury may result. I assume these primers are for use with these calibers; .38 special, .32 auto, .25 auto, and the .380 acp. While not stated, I don't believe they are ment to be used for the 9mm, as it has a high operating pressure, but with that said, are these primers ok for use in .38 special +P loads or top end loads for the .380 acp?
Thanks, LM.

the 380 and 38 special both take small pistol primers, and none of those two are not as powerful as a standard or +p 9mm. so yes, i would assume they would be fine to use. i use the primers in 9mm and they work just fine.

Ditto to Michael R. I also use the Rem primers in 9mm, and even use the Rem small pistol primers in the small primed cases for 45 acp.

I've never noticed that warning ... but I see it now ... funny, same warning is NOT on any of my boxes of Remington 5 1/2 small pistol. IMR uses 5 1/2 in their 357 formulas. Crap, if you can't use the 1 1/2 in 357 mag and 40, that sure significantly reduces the marketability of the product for Remington.
