I finished priming a batch of 38 spec. and was going to prime a few .357 next but after reading some info. on the box of rem. 1 1/2 warning not to use for high intensity cartridges i changed my mind. Will the sm pistol wolf primers work in the .357?

Yes for both, unless you are using H-110 or W-296 that need Mag primers.

Rem 2 1/2 is standard small pistol and 5 1/2 is small pistol mag.

I believe the Rem 2 1/2 is the large pistol primer. Remington 1 1/2's will work just fine in mag cases and may even work well with H110/296. I've used them that way in the .357 with WC820 which is a surplus ball powder that is very close to 296/H110.

PS--My box of Rem 1 1/2's has no such warning on it anywhere.

Walkalong means Rem 1-1/2. He just mistyped. He popped enough of them to know the difference.

I will load some with the wolf primer and 14gr of 2400.
All my Rem. primer boxes warn to not use,it's on the green side of the box in fine print.

My box is 7 or 8 years old and has no warning. As Near as I can tell from what I think is a time stamp Mfgr date was 2002. I learn something new every day.
