I just finished my plain Jane Remingtin R1. A friend of mine is a great 1911 guy he charged no labor I bought parts Robar refinished it pics don't do it justice.

Sear disconnector
Mainspring housing
Novak sites adj
Tightened slide to frame
Complete trigger job
French cut slide and cocking serrations front
Barrel bushing extended nose plug
Flattop slide
Cart match barrel fitted properly
Extended beaver tail safety
Ext safety lever
Everything hand sanded and fitted properly
Wilson mags and grips
Robar NP 3 inside and small parts like hammer mag release safety
Robar Roguard Satin finish
One of a kind

Well when you're right, you're right; your one pic really doesn't do it justice. Please try taking some more pics and posting them as it sounds like it's one nice customized R1.
 
Post pics on Photobucket. Copy and past link to photo into the "insert image" toll when you are writing a post (little yellow button with a mountain).
 
Was never a fan of Remington, roc you changed my mind. That is one nice looking gun.
 
Very cool! I love my 1911 R1, but it's bone-stock. You have turned a quality-but-utilitarian 1911 into something truly awesome.
 
Should be professionally framed and mounted on a wall, with appropriate brass plaque, describing parts. Hit's pulchritudinous. :cool:
