That's a lot could buy a whole rifle for that. Only a few hundred from a custom action. At least there making them tho.

Always seems to be the case when buying a bare action. Never made any sense to me.

Hopefully they'll get around to selling bare M7 actions.

I've been watching Gunbroker like a hawk, even get a daily email listing on M7s going up for auction and the prices (at least asking) are silly. All I want is a stainless M7 action to build another gun from.

Are you sure they are new manufacture ? Seems odd they would be selling actions before they produce their own rifles .

I would bet that is new old stock from either Ilion or Sturges. They don't even have the 870 line back up fully, let alone the 700 line.

Remarms selling bare actions looks like a desperate attempt to get some cash flow by cannibalizing inventory. The new owners seem under capitalized. I predict Remarms will be sold again in a year or two.

That seems pretty far fetched . Seriously, do you really believe they are selling actions for beer and cigarette money to stay afloat ?

Given what that same leadership did before the final bankruptcy that broke up Remington Outdoor Company, the answer is a resounding YES!

Yes, but if you are building a custom rifle, they might as well be in the white.

The bluing may contribute to the price difference between those two options, I was not impressed with the quality of the latest Remington I handled using that flat finish. The tolerances were appalling as well but then hey what do I know right.. Lol

Very well could be. If you peruse the Remington bankruptcy legal documents, which are available on line, Roundhilll Group not only got the plant, machinery and names, they got more than a few completed rifles, shotguns, actions and other parts.

So did Ruger with its purchase of Marlin. It got quite a few completed Marlin rifles, barrels, receivers, and small parts.

I contacted the seller and they confirmed this is a new rifle just received from the new RemArms. Whether or not is is a new rifle that came with the inventory they got from old Remington I know not. But it is a new rifle from the new RemArms.
