Remington Spartan youth 20 gauge

Does anyone have experience with the Remington Spartan youth 20 gauge single shot. Looks like a decent gun for about $100. I require a youth size and am looking for other choices besides the Mossberg's and Remington's pump models. Thanks, Jeff

I have a Remington Spartan single shot, but its 12 guage. I like it, its very simple to disassemble and clean, and fun to shoot.

Might as well buy American. Good guns, cheap, and easy to get fixed in the unlikely event of a mechanical problem. IMO exposed hammer gun is a great choice for a kid. Inherently safe, easy to understand for a new shooter.

I'm also considering the NEF Pardner. These seem a little more prevailent than the remington's. I just hope my local gun store can get them.
