I saw a 250 round "Mega Pack" of UMC for $50... Is this stuff any good for general "Paper Punching"...I know it is very dirty...and I will use the spent cases to reload...Reason to want to buy also,This is the only 9mm that I have seen @ Wally World in 3 Weeks....

You should have bought it while you were there nerfs. It's good stuff in my experience.

That's $.20/rd and about the best deal you'll find on reloadable brass 9mm right now.

Grab it dude, but don't be surprised if walmart limits you to two packs. I scored some Olin when they got a case in but they limited me to 600 rounds.

I just ordered 500 9mm Remington UMC from Midway at $146.99. they shipped it yesterday and it will be here tomorrow. I've never used UMC before, so we'll see. I got the 124gr version.

I believe these are steel case ammo. No go for reloading. At least the UMC that I looked at were. Was it a yellow box?

AOK, Will do..I know what you mean about Wally World's "Term Limits ".. Went in there about 6 weeks ago to pick up some Federal 9mm brass cased @$9.46 a box...The sign said "Limit 6 boxes per day"..It was about 11:30 pm..I purchased 6 boxes and went to the gun club and shot 4 boxes..Went back to WW (2 hours later, It is now past midnight and a new day..) They refused to sell me any more..Saying that their sign meant "IN A 24 HOUR PERIOD".. Ha Ha

Is UMC Fairly new to WW??? I bought a Mega Pack of 45acp, three weeks ago at another location...and I do not remember seeing this type ever..

Yellow box UMC is brass cased. That stuff is a little underpowered (I have a friend whose Uzi won't cycle it because the bolt is too heavy), but otherwise it's good to go; at that price, grab everything that you can. I probably bought 5k round for my handguns before I started reloading, and I'm still reloading the brass.

My thoughts exactly..I reload but if I can pick up something that i shoot at a great price ...I will do it...THX

It goes bang every time. I don't find it any dirtier than my usual Blazer Brass range ammo. I've used their 124gr JHP for carry ammo back during the scare when I couldn't find any of the good stuff.

The Remington UMC green box 100's in .45acp JHP WAS $38.97. It went bang every time, more accurate than I am, but it was the dirtyist stuff I've shot ever. (only been shooting since September though) Even my hand was covered with soot.

Have any of you used the Rem UMC in a Glock 40 cal, if so how does it run for you, pro/con?

Thank you

my cz pcr seems to hate the stuff. shoots relatively ok, but jams at least a couple of times per range session. doesn't do that with any of the other cheap stuff (blazer, indie, black hills, etc)

that said, my glock and xd eat it just the same as anything else. i'd go for it, that's a great price. local shops sell 100rnds of UMC for $25 at best
