Does anyone know about the Rem 700 VTR with the triangular barrel? How it shoots, how it compares to a standard barrel, against a heavy fluted barrel?

as an adendem to my first post, the review and my first conideration was for the 308 chambered rifle. upon further reflection, the vtr might make for a nice walking rifle in the 17, 22-250, 204, or 223 chamberings.

I don't have the VTR, but do have the 700ADL Varminter. Awsome rifle. Only had it to the range once so far. With whatmany consider to be a crappy stock, and the cheap scope that came with it, I was getting .69 moa using 150gr Remington Core Lokt ammo. Many have reported that after around 75 rounds this will come down to .5 moa. Not bad for a rifle that ended up costing $419 after the Remignton rebate and two rebates from Dick's.
