Rented an SR9c today

I have not shot the M&P or Springfield. But I do have an XDm in 4.5 so I kinda know about them. I dry fired an M&P last year and didn't care for the trigger.

I'm helping my friend buy his first handgun, so I've been taking him to the range with me to rent a wide array of different offerings. S&W, Sig, Springfield and Glocks, both in full size and compact varieties. For some reason Ruger seemed to slip my mind and it wasn't until the salesman. who by now is fully aware of what we were up to, offered up the SR9c. Boy am I glad he did! Both my friend and I agree that that little pistol is one sweet shooter, and I think both of us are now in line for one. A real sleeper for sure.

I like the Ruger's trigger. I'm fine with the S&W's trigger and like about everything else on the M&P better.

Good you've handled all 3 and shot 2 at least. Won't make any claims that the S&W is superior.

Congrats on your hands on research before you buy.

I love the fact that the SR9c comes with a 10 and 17 round magazine with grip extender. I carry with the 10 and then throw the 17 rounder in at night for HD. The extender is excellent and fits flush with the frame. It has never pinched me the way some extended mag sleeves do. Also, the SR9c feels great in the hand and slimmer to me than a lot of the other offerings. Conceals great too.
