I really enjoy the "if you could only have x guns" game, so I figured we could try something new.
If you could not purchase any more firearms in the forseeable future, but you could trade in any 3 that you own for something else, what would it be, and why.
Like all good shooting sports, I'm thinking we really need at least three "divisions" to answer in. Feel free to compete in as many as you want. The divisions are:
FREESTYLE/OPEN - if you own it, you can trade it for any firearm you like. Yes, that includes trading in the High Point for a Nighthawk Custom, M60, or whatever the Navy is putting on the battleships these days
LIMITED - you can only replace existing firearms with firearms in the same category. In this division, it's perfectly acceptable to trade a High Point for a Les Baer, but not a rifle or shotgun. "Category of firearm" being Rifles, Shotguns, and Handguns (includes any action type). NFA items will be treated as what they come closest too that you don't have to pay a tax stamp for ( short barreled, pistol grip shotgun would be considered a shotgun, M16 would be a rifle... Which, I guess they both are anyways...) ANY CREW SERVED, ARTILLERY, OR VEHICLE MOUNTED WEAPON WILL BE CONSIDERED A RIFLE FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS CLASS.
HEAVY METAL: all trades are allowed, provided that the new firearm is either physically bigger, or of a larger caliber. Caliber trumps physical size. Going from a GLOCK 17 to a 29 is acceptable. Replacing a Serbu Super Shorty with an FAL is not.
Just thought I'd try to keep things interesting
