I think the source of information about who is buying guns comes from surveys of retailers and ffl holders. So, those numbers are just estimates. It is still interesting information.

'New Left Organization'??

How many of these new gun purchases were by the new left organization members who have intentions other than self defense?
I hope I am being too pessimistic, but it’s something to keep in mind.

I guess the 'old right' organizations already have their armament?
My point is that there has been social unrest, much of which happened a year ago..plus social unrest that happened on TV 3 weeks ago..and BOTH have fueled this
rush to buy ammo and armament. I don't think the 'a$$hats(using another poster's term) that stormed the capital need be exempt from how they fuel the ammo and gun 'rush'...
