Replacement sights for Marlin 336

I'm going to replace the sights on my 336C. I don't like that the XS ghost rings look so unprotected. Wild West Guns offers their own protected ghost ring rear with a hooded Williams Firesight front. Has anyone used this setup on their Marlin? Comments? Thanks.

I put a Williams Guide Receiver Sight on mine. Bolts right on and it's nearly indestructible. Got it from Brownell's.
