Bought a XS Ghost Ring sight set for my Marline 1894C. Installed the rear peep sight with no problems. When mounting the front sight though, noticed that the sight is a little loose. Seems that the two screws that screw it into the barrel are a hair too long? Anyone else experienced this when mounting some XS sights? Thanks!

I had the same issue with the XS Ghost Rings on my 1894FG. I just ground a little bit from the end of the screws until I got a snug fit. The screws work fine on the 336's.

Well, got the screws fixed. Although I work in finance, I work for a manufacturing company which has a full machine shop. Asked one of the manufacturing engineers who is a gun enthusiast about my dilemma, and he said give him the parts and he would be back. Turns out he mic'd the amount the old screws stuck out of the old sight and had one of our machinists gently grind down .021" off the new screws to achieve the same length. Couldn't have done that nice a job at home with a vice and file. I'll mount the front sight tonight.
