Replacement Springs for a Colt Model AA2000

Hi, was hoping to find some help on the Colt All American 2000. I need to replace the springs of the gun and was hoping to find some good quality aftermarket springs for it. Its still in factory form, but I want to change the recoil spring rates and the trigger/hammer springs to lessen the trigger pull load and length. I might as well replace all the springs as its almost a decade old. I've tried gunsprings.com, and asked brownells, but nothing yet.

Good luck, it is my understanding thses guns were a limited run, that never really took off.

You might try colt themselves for parts, but other than that, I doubt any aftermerket manufacturers will make anything for these guns.

Call Wolff. I doubt they have springs specifically for such a rare model, but they've probably got springs that would work fine once you figure the spring dimensions/weights.

This was my first hand gun I ever bought and sold.

99% will not find any parts or springs for this gun. Also the almost 1" and 15# pull were there because it was DAO and without a safety installed. You could call Jack First, a NOS parts supplier. The company was able to find replacement stock springs from my python below Colt's cost.





I'm a Colt lover, I have many....just not this one any more.

Wow! You are SHOOTING a Colt AA2000? And you want to keep doing it? Good luck.

I shot mine about 100 rounds, and then decided to either put it in the collector category or find a deep lake. I did decide to keep it. Worst jerky, creepy, trigger pull I ever felt, and I have fired guns with 20 pound pulls. And even from a solid bench rest, it had all the accuracy of throwing rocks.

Just another Colt project that threw millions down the drain when they should have concentrated on improving the guns people wanted.

Its my first gun, but I normally shot the SW910 or the USP. I keep the AA2000 as part of a collection... but I shoot it occasionally...

I prefer the 910 though, its a good DA/SA transition gun, but the USP is the best... but its harder to conceal.

I'll look up that other company. tried brownells and wolff already.. no avail
