If I wanted to replace my existing forearm for my single action arm Western Auto Revelation (Mossberg 500A) could I just buy any Mossberg 500 replacement forearm piece even if it has 2 action arms, and just cut off one of the action arms? I want to buy the new forearm/tube assembly rather than fitting a forearm to my existing tube. It shouldn't matter the length of the tube size I pick (7 5/8-6 1/2) because the diameters are the same and any forearm for a 500 is likely to work just fine as long as I remove an action arm, correct?

I just want to put a synthetic forearm on it and I can't find alot of info on the subject. It seems the single action arm is pretty outdated and it just seems obvious that the solution would be to just hack it off but I wanted to check here first...

It's an older gun, just want to make sure what I buy will be compatible....
