I have 2 1807 Navy Arms Harpers Ferry black powder pistols...how do I know if they are replicas or the real thing?

Navy Arms was an Importer, not a manufacturer so you will need to find out who made them as quality varies greatly between companies.
Check the barrels for names or hall marks and describe them to us.
The Navy Arms 1972 Catalog has them listed for $95.
The 1996 NA Catalog has them for $310.
Dixie Gun Works has a Pedersoli (hall mark: circled dp) as listed below:
