I considered last year purchasing a TrophyLine Tree Saddle , but stopped due to the cost. The tree saddle (some great YouTube videos) claims to be a versatile tree stand-this isn't a promotion, they're out of business now. The tree saddle appears to just be a comfortable harness and a loop of material to attach to the tree. This set up uses screw in foot posts to climb and offers 360 degree movement for the hunter.

Because they are out of business, costs have gone up ($150+ for a unit). Has anyone replicated this product? Are there any arborists or pole climbers out there who would like to chime in? I do have a old traditional climbing tree stand, but with deer season closing in I'm considering other options. Seems like if I could safely find a harness and strong webbing I might be able to build something for 1/10 of the price. Safety is a concern of mine and I am only interested in doing this if it can be done safely.

Thanks to all!

EDIT:Apparently there are other companies out there that make them as well. After 3 hours of searching, I finally came up with a 'How-to".
