Hunting northern MI one year
We were driving a field with about 5 men & one 13 year old kid with his win 94.
Two doe jumped up about 20 yards in front of us.
This 13 year old dropped both deer in about 2 seconds.
He said ""GEE DAD--THIS HUNTING IS SO SIMPLE --WE SHOULD COME BACK UP HERE NEXT YEAR""
This kid was lucky someone didn't hang him

not legal to do Unless that kid had two doe tags in his name. You cannot shoot a deer and tag it with someone elses tag in MI. If your going to break the rules do it downstate please where theres more deer.

My son and I have been up nearly every weekend this season. He took a nice 6 point thanksgiving, I took a smaller 8 point over Christmas. I went back up Sunday to get our last freezer stuffer does. With two tags and lots of does to choose from, I'm just enjoying a relaxed lazy three day hunt.

It turns out I waisted too much time, and with my trip coming to an end, no does we're hanging on the gambrel. Tuesday afternoon I finally have a good shooter at about 80 yards, and down she goes. Of course, she immediately gets up and sprints a few hundred yards. I finally find her at 5:50, just 15 minutes of legal light.

Heading back to camp with the doe in the back of the samurai, I am actually a little frustrated that a 5 am wake up for the morning hunt is my last opportunity to fill my tag. These deer are meant for the freezer, and I was looking forward to getting home.

On the way back to camp, 5 minutes of legal light left, a nice shooter doe runs in front of my jeep and stops at 130 yards, looking at me. Daring me. 5am wake up, or end the season out the drivers side window. I took the shot, season over. Slept in. Felt nice making bacon and biscuits at 9 am with both does hanging dressed out the window.

Awesome season. Congrats to the op, my does were 20 minutes apart!
