Republic Arms Company RAP-440

I saw a RAP-440 at a local gunstore today that looks like it has great potential for a concealed carry gun. It is a single stack .40 S&W South African gun that looks very much like an Astra-75. Does anyone know anything more about the gun? I would be especially appreciative to hear of any first hand experiences.

love my 9mm. only one misfeed while crusty dirty in hundreds of rounds. don't spend too much on one but if you can get it cheap you should be happy.

I don't know that I would buy a used .40 as .40 seems a bit heavy duty for this platform. I am only guessing as i have never seen a .40 let alone shot one.

a little heavy to carry but recoil is moderate and accuracy very good for such a small sight radius. Trigger, I think mine is pretty nice. My trigger hinge pin is a touch loose but I don't think it will come out accidently.

RAP's are great gun's whose only shortcoming is weight.I love mine.
