I have what I believe is a AR .22 conversion kit. I do not know if it is complete or not and also do not know who manufactured it.

Any assistance is appreciated. Respectfully, Bill

Yes an AR 22 kit. who made it ? don't know. You still need a magazine. I have the ones made for the army and air force. Colt and Stiner made them at one time, maybe others also.

Thank you

Thanks Col. I will get a .22 conversion mag and try it out. Respectfully, Bill

One more question

The kits I see on the Internet all seem to have a 5.56 case or something attached in front of the firing pin end of the conversion. Mine does not. Am I missing something?

Well, its not gonna work without a .22LR chamber of some sort.

I'm wondering if that is really a conversion?
Or just the bolt out of a .22LR upper, with the chamber cut in the barrel.

You nailed it RC

It surely is a bolt for a dedicated .22 upper per the comparison photo. Thank you for clarifying it.

Well I had the wrong spelling for Ciener and never considered the chamber part of the apparatus missing. Although the one looks very much yours. there has to be more to it. I think that these were about $125 twenty years ago. Obtaining the correct magazine for these might be difficult. I have the military ones used by the army and the Air Force. Of the two the AF is the nicer operating. Only draw back is the white plastic magazine looks funky. I guess it could be painted.

I found out a friend has a dedicated .22 upper and will get to try my "conversion" Kit out. Thanks, Bill

Update

I tried to insert the questionable 22 conversion in a Tactical Solutions dedicated 22 upper. It was about 1/2 inch too long. See comparison with TacSol BCG photo below.

I believe that what I have is a 22 conversion drop-in for .223/5.56 upper missing the conversion chamber on the firing pin end.

Assuming I am correct (possibly) does anyone know where I can buy the missing part? I have spent a lot of time on the net looking for one.

Thank you, Bill
