Resizing 9mm with Dillon SQDB

I think you could push a 9mm through a die that only sized the base. Meaning just the lower 1/4", would not size the upper part at all. I've though about machining one but I don't really have a need since I have several 5gal buckets full of 9mm brass.

Just spoke with Dillon. They're sending me another toolhead friction plate so see if that helps.
Other than that, they also mentioned that I might need a new shellplate if the issue only happens when the resized case is in one particular shellplate pocket.

I also use a Dillon SDB for 9mm, any issues that i have had are related to seating depth of bullet. I have to adjust my OAL based on the fire arm. Between a JRC Carbine, Sig P320, M&P shield, i have to make specific loads (OAL) for each dependent on bullet being used.

The Picture of the SDB sizing a bullet is normal. that is the way it is designed. See the attached picture, there is really nothing you can resize that low on a 9m Brass. you are now working against the solid portion of the brass encasing the primer area.

That is supposed to be a 9mm, the picture came out elongated. I could not get it do post normal. I got it off the web. it stated it is 9mm. You can google 9mm pictures and see where the case is tapered and shell gets solid near the primer area. I have loaded over 20K of 9mm on my SDB, I run all my brass through a case gauge after resizing to confirm they fit. Have only had a handful not fit. added new picture, but as mentioned each brand of 9mm cases are slightly different.
