I am retiring next month and would like to resume hunting upland birds, skeet & sporting clays. Could you folks suggest and O/U configuation/model that could cover these activities?
Thanks...

Browning XS sporting in 12ga. My old Browning lightning is feeling ignored. Congrads on making it through to the other side - I turned my key in Dec 31 2006 and don't regret it a bit.

20 Gauge Beretta 686

IF it fits you.

That's the real question. What do you like to shoot?

A nicely used Citori or Beretta will work - try each one - while both are very good, each is fairly different in their handling characteristics.....I'd go with a 12 and use light loads for clays and whatever is appropriate for the birds you'll also go after

have fun with your search!

Too many great guns for your planned activities. I have a Franchi Renaissance, a friend I shoot with uses a Traditions, another has a Citori. I've shot them all and like them all. None of us are interested in trading but I must admit I'm somewhat envious of the Traditions owner. His gun shoots and looks as good as mine and cost half as much. The fit and finish are very nice and at a great savings over my Franchi. Whatever you decide on I would recommend 12 guage.
