I read that yesterday the President signed an order denying return of >1 million M1 Garands and Carbines Korea is seeking to return to the US. These weapons were shipped there during the Korean war and subsequently for training purposes.
While I am not surprised at his actions, does the President have the power to deny the return of these weapons? On what basis?
Seems to me these WWll pieces ought to go directly to CMP for refurbishment, grading, and sale to the public...who paid for them in the first place.
