A few months ago, Marty Cutrell at Yost-Bonitz Custom performed a super action job on my 1971 Colt Python (4" Royal Blue). It was a virtually NIB gun, and passed the revolver checkout with flying colors. But the trigger pull was pretty bad... something like 14 lbs double-action and 6 lbs single-action, with lots of grit and stacking. Since I got the gun for a great price, that didn't bother me... even with the cost of the action job, I'd still be way ahead since the rest of the gun was so pristine.
The turn-around was about 2 weeks. The results were, to be blunt, awesome. The double-action pull was down to a super-smooth and even 8 pounds, and the single-action pull was down to about 4 pounds. Exactly what I requested. Ignition of Magnum primers (Remington 125gr ammo) was 100%. As usual, Ted & Co. were great to deal with.
Marty was a 'smith at Wilson Combat, and before that did Colt warranty repairs on Pythons (among other things).
