I was playing around with Lyman digital trigger pull gauge and decided to measure all of my guns. Here is the data for your comment, SA is single action, DA is double action, weights are in LBS and Onzs.:

Gun SA DA
Colt Diamondback 4 11.9 8 14.5
Colt Python (trigger job) 4 7.9 10 8.0
Dan Wesson 722 4 11.5 11 5.5
Dan Wesson 15-2 4 7.6 10 1.5
S&W k22 3 0.7 10 6.5
S&W pre-28 3 5.5 10 13.5
S&W pre-27 3 3.0 10 14.5
S&W 38/44 Outdoor 2 15.2 8 4.8
S&W Registered Mag 3 2.6 10 9.0

As a point of comparison:
SIG p210-6 2 11.5
SIG p210-5 3 0.7
Glock g20 6 9.5
CZ 97B 4 11.1 8 3.0

Anyway, there is the data. Draw your own conclusions.

Lets make this easier.....

way to go on the chart!

Nice to see a few P7s on the list, a fine little handgun with a really great trigger for sure. I always knew they had good triggers but didn't know HOW good.

N-frames and P7s, there's a wonderful collection in the making right there! Toss in a few 1911s and I'd be happy as a clam.

Very interesting info, thanks for posting it. But just to clarify, if a box says "10 8.0," that means 10 pounds. 8.0 ounces, right?

Tamara hit the nail on the head. Right now if I were to pick a gun to shoot for fun and accuracy it would be my 38/44 outdoorsman. ACCURATE and has a great, truly world-class trigger. (but I still love my registered.....)

Talking about my desires for my own collection....

That would make me pleased as all get out, couple of N-frames, 2-3 P7s, and then a variety of 1911s. I'm goin strong on the N-frames, got the 38/44 Outdoorsman even. Got a 1911 but I could use more. NO P7s yet though :(
