Some important changes to OK concealed carry law that I thought you guys might be interested in:
1) Lowers the eligibility age from 23 to 21.
2) Allows reciprocity with any license issued by another state!!
3) Makes instructor permits valid for 5 years
4) Out of staters eligible for permit as soon as residency is established, the only requirement that I can find is that you have an OK driver's license.
5) Interestingly adds a private cause of action for citizens against municipalities who interfere with the state law, state expressly "preempts" the entire area of law.
These modifications were signed by the Governor and were effective July 1. For more info see the senate web site under SB 834, and as always, check with OSBI for any questions. I can't believe I hadn't heard about these changes until today! It is nice to see Senators unafraid of the people who elected him. All the best.
