In the Jesse Stone series Selleck carries a 1911 but in the books he carries a Smith Model 36. In the movie "Thin Ice" he is wounded in the shoulder and replaces his 1911 with what IMFDB says is a Smith Model 36. It is actually a Colt Det. Special "Fitz" and is probably the same one he carried in "Blue Bloods". IMFDB also lists his carry gun in the movies as a Smith and Wesson 1911 but there is no extractor. It isn't a Smith.
