Whoa cool!

I do believe that it is an older Charter Arms Undercover. Some of them can be quite nice (and inexpensive) revolvers along the Model 36 line.

Thanks FPrice! I have to look into that!

The nice thing about the original Charter Arms Uncercover revolvers was that they were made with an all steel frame but a separate alloy grip frame. So you had the strength of a Model 36 that was very close in weight to a Model 37.

This is a little late, but here is a pic of my revolvers. They are all S&W. From the top is a 500, 686P, M16, M66, 642 and a 22lr that I don't know the designation to. It was made in the 1960s.

I just need to find some wood grips for the 500. Not sure if that's the best idea though.

Here they are:

prisoner6, Now those are some vintage Nyclads!

But why not go ahead and carry the extra one in the speed strip?
No one who ever survived a shoot-out complained because they had too much ammunition.

Rockrivr1, your .22 is a pre-Model 17.

No, based on the fact that it appears to be a post war, long barrel k-frame target. If it had the model number in the yoke you would have told us it was a model 17.

Based on the hammer I'd say it was late 1940s/early 1950s vintage.

BluesBear,

Good call. Actually, I do carry 6 in the strip. I took those out of the gun for the picture and had the empty speed strip sitting there and thought it would be a nice touch. Not as artistic as some, but I like the looks of the NyClads.
