Revolver Sights

My carry piece is a Taurus 850 snubby. My problem is my eyes are not sufficient to make use of existing sights. Since primary use is SD I see no need for finely tuned sights but I do see a need for "good enough" in up close and personal applications. I like the principal behind XS Big Dots or Sure Sights. Problem is they are designed primarily for slide guns, not revolvers. I can see putting a big dot on a revolver as a front sight but what are my options for the rear sight?

Anyone out there with suggestions?

I solved my bifocal vision problem relative to gun sights by means of Crimson Trace LG 405 Lasergrips installed on two S&W J-Frame revolvers.

This may sound funny to you and I might get jumped but....as a young LEO taking a week long HRT course taught by the guys who do it for a living, in a SHTF SD situation, you dont have the time nor will adreneline allow for you to use the rear sight. The one maneuver tp practice is bringing he gun up to eye level, squaring the target with the front sight and squeezing the trigger. 9 times out of ten, if you train properly and consistantly, within no more than one box of ammo should get you hitting center mass. There are no extra points for hitting the x-ring in real life, just good solid hits, and for that, the front sight along with shoulder/eye height will give you a consistant center mass shot. Trust someone who has done it and still uses the same technique. Taking the time to square the rear and the front will get you killed in a SD sit. And because adreneline is pumping, your vision /optics change and you get tunnel vision anyway, and this is something that also needs addressing if youy suspect multiple assailants.
