A friend owns a .22 revolver with internal threading in the outer barrel at the muzzle end - forward of the rifling, which is, of course, in the inner barrel. Could this possibly be for a suppressor? I was always given to understand that suppressors are ineffective on revolvers.

Man, my videos get posted EVERYWHERE. :D

Also, inner barrel/outer barrel... are you talking about a Dan Wesson revolver?

I have to agree, that sounds like a Dan Wesson. If it is, it's so that he can change the barrels out for longer or shorter ones.
