I am building a 9x19 suppressor platform on a CCF Raceframes stainless steel frame. CCF strongly recommends (demands) that one use factory barrels for reasons that are beyond the scope of this thread. As such, I am looking for a factory M34 or M17L barrel that is threaded 1/2-inch x 28 tpi as the suppressor is a SWR Trident-9.

Why the CCF Raceframe instead of the usual Glock polymer frame? The extra weight of the stainless frame will help to offset the muzzle-heavy feel of the gun with the suppressor hanging off the end of the barrel. I also prefer the trigger feel and grip angle of the CCF Raceframe to the Glock as I am a 1911 shooter.

Any ideas where to look for the threaded barrel? Or do I just need to purchase a stock barrel and send it to someone to be threaded? Any suggestions on who to send the barrel for threading? Gem-Tech did a barrel (not a Glock) for me many years ago, and I assume would do so again, but it never hurts to learn what alternatives exist. Thanks.

Glock barrels from the factory do not come threaded like Sig or HK. Storm Lake, Lone Wolf, Jarvis, et al all make threaded barrels.

What I'm doing for my "Range Demo gun" is kinda unique. It turns out that I got an extra storm lake barrel with my 17L from the seller because he wanted to shoot lead. He gave it to me. Well, you can't fit any threads on a stock 17L barrel on a 17L. So I'm having it threaded and installed in my 34.

Thats the closest you can get. If you are doing a standard 17 length slide, use a 34 barrel. If you are using a 34 use a 17L barrel.

Tornado Tech can do what I need . One way to go is to send them a stock barrel from a G17, and they can extend and thread it. The other way is to purchase a G34 barrel and they will shorten and thread it. I am going the latter, so that I can still shoot the gun with the stock barrel and it will still fit holsters. I also rather shorten a barrel than add an extension to it.

Yep, going with the factory barrel extended and threaded should work just fine as I have heared of issues with aftermarket barrels and CCF frames. Be sure to post pics one your build is complete. You'll really like the Trident....I love mine with my P226 and G23/19!!!

From what I understand, Glock does make threaded barrels, but not for civilian sale.

You wouldn't happen to have a friend in LE who is a Glock armorer, would you?

As a matter of fact, I have a friend who is an LEO and is a Glock armorer. That said, I will just order a Glock 34 barrel and have it threaded by Tornado Tech.

Tornado Tech is among the best in the business, you won't be disappointed.

Unfortunately, it's going to take some time.
