Well, is it just me, or do revolver's have a nasty tendancy to put you in the poor house? For some reason, I just keep buying them. Maybe it's because I just like'em or maybe because I can't pass up a good deal. But, regardless of thier unique money-sapping abilities, they are just nice to look at.:) Here's my humble little collection. I like revolvers. Blued steel and wood, the way it should be. The .32 was my great-grandfathers, who was foreman of a railroad yard and he carried it during the railroad union dispute. Belive it or not, it is also my best shooter. From left: S&W .32 Hand Ejector 3rd change, Colt Trooper MKIII .357, S&W 586 .357, S&W M&P .38spl 5 screw. My Colt's feeling sad and lonely, maybe he needs another Colt to keep him company...

Jackal, I feel your pain. They're just so darned neat. and no matter how many I buy, I always need more. I've had many a lottery fantasy where I need to buy a couple more safes to hold all the wonderful Colts, Tauri, S&Ws, Rugers, Freedom Arms and more. And just when I think the list is done, something new comes out like that new nickel plated Model 29. Sigh.......:(

"Broke" is a five letter word ...

... and "broke" refers only to money.

When one has revolvers,
one is never "broke".

I only want two revolvers.
*642 (already got it)
*686 (will get one soon)

Those are the handguns
of my optimal collection.
(See below: ones with green background already owned.
One more coming this week...which one? Not sure yet...)

YMMV.

I can feel your pain.:) Broke is only an illusion. I too only have one Colt, it's the lonely Diamondback in the middle. I also have my Grandfathers First Model Handejector .32 S&W long. It's the little nickel one at 10:00 position.

And you are right again on the blue and wood favorites.

My stainless Ruger Security Six and Ruger Single Six just couldn't make it in the picture. They are, well, homely guns. My older Single Six shows some of the worst fit and finish I have seen and the Security Six is just too albino to sleep with the Smith's and Colt. Now, if only I still had that P&R 629 that I sold a while back...

Cheaper than kids and motorcycles, but they have definitely drained what's left.

What, no Python yet? You better get a second job if you buy ONE Python. Hell, I just bought my first Python, and it is severely like crack! I am buying my second one next week, and then....who kows.?!

Naw. At least not S&Ws. Just join ICORE and go to the International Revolver Championship and enter the drawings and competition. Typically 20 or so S&W guns on the prize table, not to mention the Henrys, Remingtons, etc. that might show up.

I've paid for one revolver (686+), won a PC627V-comp in a drawing and an M66 off the prize table in three trips to the IRC.

Of course there is the FFL and match entry fee.

You want to talk about being poor then wait until that pictured guncase turns into a large safe full of revolvers. :(

Absolutely. I can't seem to leave them alone. What's really fun is at gunshows I don't seem to have any trouble standing at the revolver tables for as long as I want. The tables with the semi-autos are like cattle calls.

It's an addiction and I'm a hopeless junkie.
