This supposedly comes out later this month. Takes 10/22 mags and looks nice and evil. I am severely tempted. Anybody know much about this company and their products?

R22 is the first link under "Rifles" on the left.

Cool, thanks for the link. I like it particularly because it's ideal for a comparison shot with a stock Ruger 10/22. "Why is one evil and the other not?" sort of thing.

nah

I'd still rather have one of those 9mm ones that take the 71-rd suomi drums!
That's the Rhineland for me.

He's just up the road from me. I've considered making a drive up to see his shop.

Maybe I need to do that for 'journalistic purposes' :D

He also makes a cute conversion for large/small ring Mausers and Enfields to .45ACP using a 1911 magazine, either as a complete unit or a DIY kit.

I'll try to get him to sign on here as a member if he isn't already.

Regards,
Rabbit.

Here's Rhineland's reply:

Hello, the rifle is undergoing preproduction testing. It should be in
production in a couple days. Still working on getting a OK letter from
Cali DOJ.

Wonder why he is looking for on OK from Cali DOJ. SB23 only applies to semi-auto centerfire rifles. Probabaly just covering his ass though

That's what I was thinking too.

We did get a OK to sell this thing in California. I just wanted them to spell it out.

I will get some more pics up soon of this rifle.

I'm lining up for one of these things too! Thank god I live in Houston now and will be able to drive over to pick it up myself. Are you going to offer threaded barrels so that we may affix suppressors?

With a 30-round magazine, just the thing for repelling wave after wave of Communist-horde attack squirrels squeaking "Banzai!" and attacking behind the cover of a walnut barrage..... :neener:

Hiya Rhinelander...Welcome to THR.

Thanks for taking time to talk to me on the phone today. It was quite an experience. Glad to see you made it on over here.

I'm looking forward to meeting you one of these days and picking up my next new toys.

Regards,
Rabbit.

These will not have threaded muzzles but I will try to have a set up for flashhiders. Maybe something like the Carbon 15s.

There has been a lot of demand for a folding stock so we will be looking into getting that going pretty soon. It will be a quality one like on the HK Ump.

Sylvilagus Aquaticus, good talking to you and thanks for pointing out the board.

no threaded barrel? on a 22?

horrid! - you really aught to reconsider that, 22lr cans are probably the most common suppressor out there. guess i'll have to get it threaded afterwards...

will it work with the 25, 30, and 50 rnd 10/22 mags? your website says it may not function with aftermarket mags, but not much else about that.

and what does it weigh in at?

EDITED to say i'm stoopid and should have looked for the price on your website first

thanks

The weight is coming in at 6.5 pounds.

This works with most magazines, seems all but the Eagles. Right now most of the mags we have on hand are so old it is realy hard to tell what will realy work or not. I do not see a problem with the teardrop and drum shaped mags.

Sorry no threads, per the insurance company.

what?!?

seriously? the insurance company is worried about threads on a 22lr barrel?

*** sense does that make?

what did the insurance company give you as a reason anyhow?
