I am quite fond of the 4 inch version..for whatever reason, it reminds me of a mateba...

I am as well. It really looks like a beast.

I want one.

Anyone got one they'll consider trading for a Colt A1 upper? :p

Could it replace my Dardick?

That's the burning question. Its growing on me.

And, Dardick ammo has been out of stock at our local WallyMart for months now!

Ok, I gotta confess.

The looks of that 2" are growing on me. And the concept.

(I'd post a link, but this is from the cell. Not as easy.)

Yes, it's 24 oz v 14 for an airweight SW.

But nobody says it needs to be an either or, right?

Only thing I'm not sure of is the grips.
They look undersized to me,
says the guy whose airweight
wears full Hogue Monogrips.

I dunno. We'll see.

But I'm very intrigued.
The concept of barrel on bottom just seems genius.

Punctuated equilibrium in the revolver world?

It's so ugly, it's beautiful. kinda like razor backs. They're ugly but so cool. I want one for the hell of it.

If it works (i.e., shoots to point of aim and is accurate, durable and most importantly, reliable), then I would call its appearance functional. The A-10 attack plane is not very pretty either, but everything on it has a purpose, much like this gun does. I handled one at a gun show (Knoxville) recently, however, and its grip felt odd, despite an obvious attempt to be ergonomic (note how it is smaller at the bottom, as your little finger is) and functional. Much of this was its texture, which had a sticky, "tacky" feel to it, as if it were covered in Post-It note adhesive. :D I've never cared for this.

I agree with wb carpenter: it's not so much ugly as it is different. Definitely unique. More like a good example of outside the box thinking. I like the 4" barrel version the best; the 2" barrel model would take some time to get use to. But I would consider a Rhino just for it's different approach in regards to revolver design.

What's wrong with shooting from the 6 o'clock position? Might have to get one to go with my Mateba.

If one of the ugly ducklings happens to save a man's bacon and lets him get home to his home and family, it'll be the prettiest gun in his collection. Guaranteed.

Function before form is me. I don't care how it looks. I care about how it performs.
Straight-back recoil allows faster followup shots in a world where one shot can't be depended on to stop the threat. Anybody who has fired a small, light .357 revolver with
stomp on'em ammo knows what a bear they can be in the control department.

of all the european designs why couldn't we get something a bit cooler.

like the Russian MP-412

or the Nosorog 9mm AEK 906 Revolver

or hell just bring back the mateba

I am perfectly willing to drop ~$1000 on a mateba if they remade them.

Yeah, but it has to be good lookin' enough for you to get into bed with it in the first place.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, and guess that you aren't much of a drinker. :D
