Word! I shot a scandium stubby once and that pretty much ended any interest in a scandium revolver for me. I will not shoot one again unless it is life or death and that's all I have on hand, and that's the long and short of that.
On the other hand, for a few years I carried (and still own) a little Taurus 605, and it is pretty comfortable to shoot. I have shot as many as 50 rounds of .357 through it without undue discomfort. By comparison, I shot 100 rounds through my obviously bigger model 66-I last week, and at about round 94 I was starting to feel it. Not bad, but enough that I knew that those last 6 rounds would be the last 6 rounds of .357 for the day. I was working on my DA shooting, and I am smart enough to know that once I start to feel discomfort, even if fairly minor, I am quickly going to start doing more harm than good.
I am skeptical that you can get a grip that is as high as promised. The trigger is supposedly heavy and they didn't do anything to move the trigger farther up relative to the top of the grip so reach will be a deciding factor in how high you get.
