Thanks to you guys, I just ordered a "fine" used copy of Philip Sharpe's, The Rifle In America.
I'm still watching for a reasonably-priced clean copy of Pet Loads.
I have lots of books about rifles but if I had to pick a favorite, it would be Rifles-A Modern Encyclopedia by Henry M. Stebbins; though it's admittedly not so "modern" any more.
