In a grab bag at a swap meet, I picked up (along with a few other items) five semi auto rifle magazines that I cannot identify. They are blued metal, take a cartridge considerably longer than the 7.62x39mm (I'm thinking they take either .308s or .30/06s), and measure 8 1/2 inches long by 3" wide. They are totally straight vertically, with straight bottoms, and there are no markings on them at all. Could they be for an FAL? An M1 Garand or M14? I have no clue. Appreciate any help, as I'm very curious about what they might fit.

M-1's don't use mags. M-14 and FAL 20 round mags are 6" at their longest. Very possibly the 25? round M1A mags or 30 round FAL mags. Like rbernie says, pictures would help. Generally speaking though, aftermarket mags, for any rifle, tend not to have markings. The quality of said mags varies.
