Rifle/Nightvision ?

I do the majority of my hunting at night, mainly for feral hogs. I have been thinking about purchasing a semi-auto and a nightvision scope. The terrain I am hunting in would be a mix of wheat fields and fairly heavy cover.

Rifle I have been considering is an FNAR.

Scope is an ATN Aries 390 Paladin.

Anyone have any opinions on either one of these? Anything else I should consider?

Two NV scopes later; i'd say save your money and get a good tactical flashlight with a red lens filter. Or if you just won the lottery...thermal scope!

I don't know the specs on the Paladin, but I can tell you this from direct experience...

The so-called 1st generation night vision equipment is little better than useless. You have to step up to 2nd gen or (very expensive) 3rd gen gear to be able to "see in the dark."
