My brother has asked me to sell one of his rifles. It is an almost new (less than one box of ammo fired) Ruger #1B 6.5 Creedmore with a Zeiss 3-9X scope. The only thing I found is a new one on Gun Broker for $1399. Th rifle looks new without a single scratch or blemish. Good wood and very accurate...I saw my brother kill a coyote at 300 yards with it. How much do you think I should sell it for? I'm thinking $1500 with the scope and everything. I'll appreciate thoughtful opinions. Tom

Assuming it's a Conquest 3-9x40 your price is fair, but it may not move very quickly.

The market you're selling in is likely to influence the price you can get and how fast it'll sell. Online will reach more potential buyers, but unless you've got an FFL, you'll have to pay commission to get it shipped.

Yes. it is a Zeiss Conquest. Just talked to my brother and he says he'll take $1250. That's a good deal. Now I just have to find the best way to get the word out locally. First I'll do what I usually do, offer to family and friends. Thanks for the feedback.
