And by kind of, I mean, I contacted riflegear today about purchasing this rig. Previously, I have received very little feedback from THR about this. Before I spend my $$, I thought I would attempt to run this by you guys again.
Riflegear has a DD upper receiver with a FN made CL, 1 in 7 mil-spec barrel, YHM low profile gas block (can be changed to JD Machine Tech for $15.00 more) for $379.00. Some YHM free float diamond mid-length rails added for an additional $120.00.
I currently have a Vltor (BCM) Gunfighter large latch CH, and a BCM FA BCG, to ad to this upper.
With my BCG and CH added, seems like for between $500-600, I can have a really superior upper. I would think that this upper (especially with the JD Machine gas block) would be at least on par with a BCM.
This upper would be mounted on a LMT Defender lower.
So, at $550.00 or so, is there any way I can put together a better upper receiver? Would this upper be on par with a full BCM upper?
