rifles with open sights

Who makes a decent rifle with open sights. I was looking for something on a budget. Does Savage still make one. On their web site I didn't see any. I believe Rem has one but it's a little pricy. What are the options.
 
I'm pretty sure savage makes a "scout" model in .308 win, that has open sights. I'm trying to recall what it was called, i believe it was the model 10FCM? I saw one at a gunstore the other day and it looked pretty nice.
 
what are you looking to do with the rifle and what kind of price range?

A used rem 7600 is an excellent rifle that's up to all kinds of tasks that comes with sights and usually isn't too pricey.
 
Though discontinued, I bought a Rem 700 ADL .30-06 with open sights last year for $325. There might be some more floating around out there.
 
If you can find a used Savage you may be satisfied with the sights. I think Savage is using freakin' cheap plastic abomination sights on their rifles now though.

why not a savage with out for a few bucks you can get a red dot or?? at CDNN.and the price is right I have bought SKS scopes for $13 now about $19
 
Best iron sights ever are on the M1 Garand and AR10B. It just takes a little practice. :D
 
The K 31 Swiss rifle is a nice one to aim. The M 1 Garand is also but make sure you have to center the front post in the rear peep.
