I too am cross-dominant. Still fairly new to shooting so I need to find out what works best for me.

So's my 11-year old grandson, but I'm encouraging him to try different ways to see what works best.

All my life I've been right hand ,Right eye dominate. But, found out today at the range (nearing my 52nd birthday) I can focus better with Left eye. Does that make me cross eyed now?

I'm cross-dominant. No problem with handguns... I use Weaver with a fair cant to my head. Rifles haven't been much of a problem shooting with my "weak eye".

I have the same issues. I learned to shoot with either eye or hand. That way I can shoot wich ever way is easiest without having to contort myself. If the deer come on my left I shoot right handed, and vice versa. Handguns the same way.

You can train yourself to shoot with the other side of your body. Its a huge advantage to be ambidextrous. I am because I wanted to be.
I am a southpaw but my left eye is weaker. Shooting my mosin sniper strongly encouraged me to switch over. I did and with lots of practice and muscle memory I am an ambi :D

I am in that category, and I just shoot left handed. I used to be into archery, and tried to do it right handed, and it caused problems, so when I started shooting firearms I knew beforehand that I was best off just going left handed from the get go.

My sister in law is the same way. She was an incredible archer and shooting a pistol for the first time she just shot it (a right hand ruger .22 target pistol) right handed (both hands on it) with her left eye. She seriously made the can dance every shot after the 2nd shot at about 10 yards.
