I have a model 17 revolver.
Looking for some type of block where I can stage 5 rounds in the shape of the cylinder. Then pick them up with a speed loader and transfer the rounds to the cylinder. That way I'm not holding up the firing line when shooting in bullseye competition.

I have a similar block and speed loader set up for a 10-shot 617 and M-14 in .38 special. Looking for a six shot .22 block. HKS makes speed loaders.

Does anyone make one of these loading blocks? I would want it to have at least 4 spots to put ammo. (more would be better)

How bout just making one out of a block of wood and a drill?

I have been making my own custom loading blocks out of pine and oak for a long time now.

The British had a speed loader for their top break revolvers which was made of moulded leather.

The large red Milkshake straws from Burger king are just right for holding .22 rimfire rounds.
I've considered using these to carry quick reloads for a tube fed rifle.
You could also load a .22 cylinder pretty quickly with a tube holding the proper number of rounds for your pistol.
It would be even better suited for gate loading .22 revolvers.
Heat seal one end and make a plug for the other end. Cheap and worth a try.
Also very compact.

Thanks

Exactly what I was looking for.

I have the DS-10 loading blocks and speed loader for my 617. Works like a charm. I've used them in pin matches with the rim fire.
