Riverside/Stevens 520 Takedown

I have an opportunity to pick up Riverside 12ga takedown which is a relabeled Stevens 520 for a pretty decent price. It has a 28" full choke barrel, buti plan on cutting it down and making it a trunk gun.
Anyone have experience with these, especially the takedown models?

Another JMBrowning design, and a good one. It was his second pump shotgun patent IIRC, after the Win 93/97. The BEST repeating shotgun takedown system ever IMHO, as long as it wasn't abused. As long as it's mechnically sound it will serve you well.
