The Kirst conversion for the ROA is available in 45 LC and 45 ACP. I remember reading...I can't recall where....that the 45 ACP had more going for it than being less expensive.

Anyone ever hear/read about this? Is there any reason you would buy a 45 ACP, other than it's cheaper to shoot?

well, if a fella had a bunch of other guns and loading equipment, brass and molds for .45 acp, he might not want to get a .45 Colt cylinder.

.45 ACP is easier to find on store shelves. It's used by the U.S. military, some police departments and even the Russians make some steel case .45 ACP ammo too.

.45 ACP shoots .452-.454" bullets. The ROA shoots .456" bullets minimum. I can't see much accuracy or crossover ammunition in this combination. YMMV
