$79.99 per K on the primers, $32.99 per pound on the powder.VERY SWEET! what did you pay?
Quite a few. Three 308’s, three 30-06’s, two 50 Beowulfs, two 30-30’s, one 45-70, one 375 H&H, and a couple handguns that take LR primers (460 S&W and 500 S&W).Well looky there! Congrats! What large rifle's going to get new ammo>?
not bad, but NO hazmat is GREAT!$79.99 per K on the primers, $32.99 per pound on the powder.

that’s as bad as Seattle! hope you don’t have a state income tax9.75%
make a very light load and go on squire huntYou should get one! They’re a lot of fun. I’d like to actually get the chance to hunt some really big game with it one day, but that’s just a pipe dream….

I have not loaded .460 in forever, Love a full house load! Pumpkin with water filled! best reactive targetThat was my first thought...
with Primers being so expensive, minus well shoot the good stuff!I saw the H 110 and 4227 and I went to, Yeah, 460 S&W!
Have several hundred loads ready to go, this is an inspiration to go out and blast some as I have not shot it in over a year....
I bet they still run!Alcan?
Those primers got pushed to the back of the shelf a long time ago
Curious about .500 SW…. More fun than .460? I have a 460V

.460 is my all around fun and completely impractical. I flinch SO bad after the 1st shot, I probably could not hit a VW 10 feet away…

You make me want to get a .500! But I told myself that if I didn’t die in 2020 (Aliens not CooFloo) I would buy a Les Baer and become a FUDD .45. Already bought a Colt .45… So I can’t buy anymore guns Until I get a Les Baer.Yeah, the big boys are real flinch machines. I have to really concentrate on trigger control when I’m actually trying to shoot for accuracy.
I have managed ragged one hole groups at 25 yards with the 460 and hit 6-8” targets at 100 yards with it, but I have to be on my game to do it. Same with all of my big bores. I’ve hit 8” targets at 100 with my Desert Eagle and I’ve hit 12” targets at 200 with one of my 44 mags. I’ve never tried to stretch the 500 out that far, only to about 65 yards.
As far as 460 vs 500, the 460 is way louder and has more concussion. The 500 hits you quite a bit harder in the hands with most loads, especially the 500-700 grain loads. I enjoy shooting them about equally though.
that .460 is better than coffee! You shoot it and the everything else feels like a .22 shortA friend's wife bought him a 500 for his birthday.
He offered me a shoot at our friends cabin one day.
]WOW, I said, I gotta get me one of these.
Well, time later the 460 came out and the rest is history....
