I've heard great things about Rob Haught's push and pull shotgun techniques. I've seen that he's teaching a class in California. Though I was hoping if someone had an email or a website for him. I wanted to see if he's having any classes back east anytime soon. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the info. The "push pull" is for operating a pump action shotgun quickly while reducing recoil perception or at least thats what I hear.

Guys,

Sorry for jumping in on this thread so late, but I was just turned on to it. In the context of the 12 gauge pump, Push/Pull describes a method of isometric tension placed on the weapon system just prior to breaking the shot. Imagine stretching the gun like a bow and arrow, with emphasis on the push forward with the support hand. Done properly, this technique subjectively reduces felt recoil by at least 50% and also helps the shooter time the action to allow for much faster followup shots. Once understood, the shooter will be able to shoot full house loads accurately without even placing the shotgun in a shouldered position.

The August class went extremely well and we had a dedicated bunch of students.

Here's a link to an After Action Report of the course, along with video and photos.

Keep an eye out on 10-8 Forums for a 4-day combination carbine/shotgun program with Pat Rogers and Rob Haught.
